StellenbeschreibungPartner with the Logistics Country Director to establish the team's strategic objectives and to contribute to the thought leadership within the global organisation Develop strategic direction and objectives by working closely with cross-functional team members.Obtain their expert advice, thoroughly challenge the prevailing thought, and influence key decision-makers in the organisation Collaborate with the finance team to jointly manage the profit and loss (P&L) outcomes, improve our unit economics, achieve profitability targets, and oversee forecasting and budget management with a focus on optimization. Facilitate communication of product and process needs to HQ, working collaboratively with product and engineering teams to address them effectively. Work with Central Operations and other countries’ Heads of Operations to develop and share best practices Support on local regulatory concerns and local politics in partnership with our Policy, Legal, and Communications teams Lead, manage and develop a highly engaged and talented team of direct and indirect reports Champion our culture (Lead, Deliver, Care) and employee brand Extensive experience within an Operations / Strategic Consultant role. High strategic acumen; logical and quick thinking, with a first rate attention to detail Very strong numerical and analytical ability Excellent communication, and stakeholder management skills Proven track record to deliver and to achieve challenging KPIs Resilience; proven ability to work under pressure, tight deadlines, and and adapt to unforeseen circumstances. Self-motivation in a dynamic, ever-changing environment. Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and empower diverse teams, attracting top talent. Demonstrable experience identifying, initiating and executing highly successful strategic and / or operational initiatives Ability to fuse business, strategy, finance, and legal concepts to lead complex, multi-faceted business. Willingness to travel on a regular basis to Berlin and to occasionally spend time with the local teams across the country. Experience in social relations with authorities, regulators, unions and lobbying topics is a plus. Fluency in German and English

We need an exceptional leader who primarily holds a strong heart for operations, who is an innovator and who can build and mentor strong teams to achieve their full potential. We believe in solving local problems with local solutions, so understanding your market and delivering custom messages is important.
The Logistics Head of Operations role presents a challenging yet rewarding opportunity at the intersection of analytical and creative thinking, with a significant impact on both our people and our business.
As a member of the Logistics Management Team you will report directly and be the right arm to the Logistics Country Director for Germany, based in Berlin.
Key responsibilities :
Strategy and Operations :
- Act as one of the leading forces for our German market, develop and champion the strategy with the operations management team, and mobilise resources to execute the strategy.
- Identify and deliver growth initiatives such as geographic expansion, restaurant delivery area optimisation and service time extensions.
- Be accountable for the quality of delivery service and associated KPI’s that impact couriers, customers, restaurants.
- Use quantitative and qualitative data to build strategies and inform decision making
- Ensure the delivery service is operated compliantly and with a high regard for the safety of all stakeholders involved
- Lead operational efforts with potential 3rd party logistics providers
- Identify, assess and prepare for potential changes in the regulatory environment impacting the business
