As our Head of Payroll & Benefits you will comanage the monthly payroll cycle for Shoppers Runners and Central Teams handle employee benefits manage sick leave and ensure regulatory compliance. You will also coordinate and execute benefits with the People team work with our payroll provider improve processes train teams on payroll aspects of HR policies and collaborate with various business teams. Together with our three other Payroll & Benefits Specialists you will help Picnic grow!

Tricks of the trade

• Manage the payroll cycle : Prepare review approve and control the monthly payroll cycle.
• Enhance payment processes : Continuously develop our payment process including participation in tech initiatives to create a scalable (homegrown) IT landscape.
• Oversee employee benefits : Administer employee benefits such as health and employee insurances sickleaves pension plans and other voluntary benefits.
• Provide employee support : Assist employees with payroll and benefits inquiries ensuring timely and professional resolution.
• Ensure regulatory compliance : Ensure compliance with all relevant governmental regulations including tax laws labor laws and benefits regulations.
• Maintain accurate records : Keep precise records of all payroll and benefits transactions.
• Reporting : Prepare and analyze monthly quarterly and yearend reports.
• Coordinate stakeholders : Manage numerous internal and external stakeholders in the payment process.
• Formalize policies : Support the development and formalization of policies and benefits.
