We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Purchasing to lead our procurement function at a dynamic and innovative Tier One automotive supplier. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of purchasing strategies to support our production and business objectives, with a strong focus on plastic components . This role requires a proven leader with deep knowledge of the automotive supply chain and fluency in both German and English .

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop, implement, and optimize purchasing strategies aligned with company goals, with a focus on cost, quality, and supply security.
• Lead and manage the purchasing team across direct and indirect procurement functions.
• Negotiate and manage key supplier contracts, ensuring compliance, quality standards, and long-term strategic partnerships.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers, particularly in the field of plastic components , tools, and raw materials.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, production, and finance departments to align purchasing decisions with project and budget requirements.
• Monitor market trends and risks affecting supply chains, particularly raw material pricing and availability.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement processes across the procurement function.
• Report on KPIs and performance metrics, ensuring transparency and accountability within the department.
