Senior Frontend Engineer (f / m / d) The role : As our Senior Frontend Engineer, you'll be the wizard behind the curtain, making our marketplaces smooth, intuitive, and downright delightful. You'll be a key member of our talented Marketplace Team— a team of 6-8 software engineers both frontend and backend—dedicated to creating seamless, impactful experiences on the xChange platform. Reporting to , our Engineering Manager, and working closely with the Product and Design Teams, you'll focus on improving our Trading and Leasing platforms to increase transactions from our existing customers. Together, you'll refine and develop features that ensure our customers succeed and find value on our platform. In addition to hands-on development, you’ll also get to mentor junior engineers and lead cross-team projects, driving technical excellence across the organization. The Location : Ideally, we are looking for a team member to join us in our Hamburg office in a hybrid setup. However, this role is also open to remote candidates located in Germany or the EU, as long as you already hold a valid work permit for your location. Your responsibilities in a nutshell : You build it, you run it : Design and build new features as part of your engineering team, owning the process from start to finish. Collaborate closely with Product, Business, and Design teams to challenge, maintain, and enhance existing features. Work on cutting-edge modern technologies while contributing to a dynamic, forward-thinking organization, identify technical debts and offer sustainable solutions. Optimize our coding processes and push the boundaries of our toolset and architecture. Mentor less experienced colleagues and help them to grow. Actively help drive the team and the company towards our technical vision. Requirements What makes you a great fit? You bring 3–5 years of front-end engineering experience with Angular and reactive state management frameworks like NgRx . You bring hands-on experience with responsive design and ideally with version control systems (e.g., Git ). You have proven experience mentoring junior engineers and driving cross-team collaboration. You’re familiar with tools like Storybook (or similar) for previewing designs and features. You have a good understanding of modern engineering processes and agile methodologies You treat testing as an inherent part of your work and Cypress, Jest are no mystery to you. You are committed to writing high-quality code and maintaining technical standards. You have a growth mindset, actively seek opportunities to propose new ideas, and bring a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
