About the Role :   We are looking for a highly motivated New Product Development Electrical Engineer (f / m / d) to join our global team in Pleinfeld who will advance our technical knowledge to develop highest performing high speed data, power / voltage products and test methods. In this role you will ensure that we meet future requirements of our customer’s markets in Aerospace and Semiconductor with the trend in Electronification and Electrification. As a subject matter expert you will define and drive technology projects advancing our capabilities and you will provide technical guidance to teams where necessary.

This position will be located at our facility in Pleinfeld, Bavaria.

Responsibilities :

  • Define and drive technology efforts leading to innovative cable products, test methods and manufacturing processes
  • Partner globally with Product Development & Application Engineers to enhance differentiated product attributes and fundamental electrical product performance understanding based on customer needs
  • Support and coach product development and manufacturing teams by providing technical expertise to enhance concept development, test method development, product design, alternatives exploration, and manufacturing processes
  • Develop / refine predictive models / simulations that can accelerate material & product development, improve experimentation efficiency, and inform / solve customer problems
  • Drive product thought leadership through external customer and market engagement including white papers, webinars, industry forum presentations, etc.
  • Continuously develop your engineering skills

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Knowledge in advanced electrical test method (e.g. VNA, TDR, Eye Pattern, Shielding Effectivenes)
  • Experience in transferring prototypes from Research and Development into manufacturing
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in major problem-solving efforts
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills in building relationships, communicating and collaborating effectively within small internal teams and externally with customers and partners
  • High level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies
  • Excellent verbal, virtual and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel international up to 10%
  • Desired Qualifications :

  • Experience with cable conductor and insulator materials / signal integrity / microwave / RF or electrical testing
  • Experience in requirements for digital transmission (e.g. copper ethernet cable, fiber optics)
  • Experience in electrical system like powertrain including inverters / converters
  • Experience in transferring prototypes from Research and Development into manufacturing
