We are currently recruiting a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to join one of Germany's leading international telecommunications companies. The Cloud Services team works with medium and large companies, both nationally and internationally. We're all about developing, marketing, and operating cool, cloud-native products and services for the digital world. We run Open Cloud, which is a public cloud standard product based on open source community software and driven by principles of DevSecOps. As a Senior DevOps Engineer you understand the latest developments in cloud and container technology. Customer-oriented, you will develop new products and automation solutions for the Open Cloud. Develop new applications for a cloud platform's ecosystem. Code, test and deploy often. Collaborate upstream-first with the community. Consistently automate with common automation frameworks. Develop tools to make operations more efficient and increase quality of service. Work in a team of specialists where everyone helps each other in an open and trusting way. Completed studies in a technical, engineering or scientific subject or comparable professional training. 3-5 years of professional experience in IT with a focus on modern cloud technologies. Extensive practice in software development Experience in infrastructure automation Knowledge of agile development processes CI/CD concepts and DevOps mindset Programming languages: Python, Go, Groovy, Java, C/C++ Linux administration and troubleshooting Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum) API development and documentation (REST, gRPC, OpenAPI) Docker and container management Kubernetes (kubectl, Helm, k8s objects) Security & Privacy (application, cloud, network, data security) Network protocols (BGP, DNS, SSH, HTTP/HTTPS, PKI/TLS) Testing frameworks (Robot Framework, Selenium) Fluency in written and spoken English.
