WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Be part of our "Global Consumer Safety Team", which creates and assesses large sets of scientific data to assure the production of safe and healthy foods for consumers. Among others, we carry out Metabolism studies by applying pesticides on crops and livestock to identify degradation products (metabolites), perform residue studies to derive maximum pesticide residue levels (MRLs), develop analytical methods to enable the quantification of pesticides residues, make acute and chronic risk assessments for pesticides residues that consumers may intake by consuming food treated with pesticides.
- As Regulatory Scientist, you are responsible for developing, planning and conducting analytical residue studies internally and together with CROs according to OECD guidelines, GLP rules, GHS and financial requirements.
- This includes sample preparation for trace-level analysis of organic compounds, including extraction and clean-up.
- In addition, you are accountable for the scientific development of the residue analytic area including the constant development, implementation and communication of new strategies, methods, techniques and approaches.
- In your new role, you take personal responsibility for the development of the laboratory and its personnel within 1-2 years, while ensuring safety and compliance with legal regulations.
- Furthermore, you guarantee the efficient use of external suppliers, develop and implement new ideas, concepts and approaches.
