Position Summary :

The Process Engineer adv. Principal Global Sealing COC is the technical expert responsible for define global process standard, development of new processes and supporting global programs.

Primary Responsibilities :

Define global process standard to optimize financials and process performance

Benchmark global process at the plants
Define best process globally and for each regional
Publish guidelines and training tools
Implement process audits at plants

Develop new process technologies to improve process and cost performances

Lead P² projects and achieve all deliverables on-time

Support I³ Projects for the process development

Support global customer program

Team member and responsible for global process

Align manufacturing process between the regions

Ensure process meet Cooper Standard process guidelines and best practices

Support for resolving critical issues

Ensure a safe and environmentally responsible workplace

Implement and enforce Cooper Standard Total Safety Culture

Execute 6S

Continually improve performanceand cost / equw ct

Use and comply to Cooper Standard problem solving tools (KT, 8D, DFSS, etc.)

Implement and improve Cooper Standard World Class Operations (WCO)

Support European Lessons Learned for process

Support and teach regional ME for process improvements

Support process costing

Support global quotes to align the manufacturing process between the regions

Support by defining process standards for costing

and cost / equw ct Support by new processes and complex processes

Ensure process meet Cooper Standard process guidelines and best practices

Additional Responsibilities for coating expert :

Lead the global cross-functional coating expert team

Build a cross-functional coating team with experts from Material, Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing

Benchmark global current coating process at the plants

Define best coating process for different product groups.

Define best coating process globally and for each regional

Publish guidelines for coating process and training tools

Define specification for coating application machines

May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description

Education and Qualifications :

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related technical degree; advanced degrees preferred

Minimum five years process engineering experience; preferably in the automotive sealing industry

Minimum three years experiences in coating process for rubber or plastic parts

Work Environment / Work Conditions :

Professional Office Environment

Must wear proper personal protection equipment per facility and job requirements

Travel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations when required
