In this role, you are driving the definition and cross-functional implementation of the Data and AI strategy across Boehringer Ingelheim's AHBU, leveraging the rapid development of data and AI capabilities. Furthermore, you will shape how data and AI create tangible customer and business impact, position AHBU as an industry leader, and drive efficiencies through digitalization and integration.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Define and drive the data and AI strategy for the Animal Health Business Unit in alignment with overall business strategy.
- Identify, prioritize, and govern a portfolio of high-impact data and AI use cases across the value chain.
- Benchmark internal capabilities against industry peers and integrate leading practices.
- Steer implementation of roadmaps, monitor progress, and ensure measurable business impact.
- Lead change management initiatives to embed data and AI into core business processes.
- Establish data governance frameworks and guide data quality and compliance activities.
- Build internal capabilities and manage external partnerships and data acquisition.
- Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across Business, IT, HR and key markets.
- In addition, the role actively supports and co-drives the implementation of selected, high-priority use cases to ensure tangible value creation and hands-on support for functional DVOs.
Requirements
- Master's degree or MBA
- Several years of leadership experiencein an international environment, ideally within Pharma or Animal Health
- Strongchange management capabilities and experience driving cultural transformation
- Extensive professional experience in data, digital, and/or business transformation
- Strongexpertisein data strategy, AI use cases, data governance, and digital transformation
- Proven ability to translate strategy into execution and measurable business impact
- Excellent stakeholder management skills up to executive and board level
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, including the ability to develop clear storylines, conduct engaging workshops, and hold effective stakeholder meetings
