In an international environment, and as part of our central Export Control team, the Export Control Legal Counsel ensures compliance according to applicable export control regulations, particularly by negotiating with our business partners respective agreements, handling of any legal topics related to Export Control, supporting the implementation of internal processes, creation of instructions and establishment as well as execution of comprehensive training program for the various stakeholders.

The Legal Counsel – Export Control reports directly to the Head of Export Control and supports them in the constant enhancement of the Internal Compliance Program (ICP) of the Vitesco Technologies group from a legal perspective.

Your new responsibilities :

• Continuously analyzing and tracking of new or changing export controls and sanction laws and regulations ( EU, US and others jurisdictions)
• Negotiating with our business partners agreements and handling of any legal topics related to Export Control
• Supporting the constant enhancement of our Internal Compliance Program
• Managing the regular risk monitoring of locations worldwide and the implementation of countermeasures in collaboration with the Export Control Coordinators and Specialists, also including communication on management level
• Evaluate potential impact of geopolitical changes for our businesses, communicate such risks within our organization, and adapt internal processes accordingly
• Supporting the Head of Export Control on the constant optimization of internal strategies towards Export Control related topics
• Developing and implementing of policies, guidelines, and instructions
• Providing legal guidance to the Export Control team, the Export Control Coordinators and the business functions.
• Maintain regular communications with all relevant Experts, Interfaces and Coordinators within the regions and cooperate with the other regional specialists
• Defining and implement a suitable and up-to-date training program of functions / employees in all locations with interfaces to Export Control matters and support the Export Control specialists in the realization of training
• Supporting the monitoring and integration of new legal entities and locations
• Supporting export compliance investigations and implementation of any required remedial action
• Supporting compliance assessment and audits; assist in investigations and support the implementation corrective actions
