Production Coordinator

: The Production Coordinator is located within the Communications and Humanities Division and will report to the Dean. The Production Coordinator is a highly responsible position involving technical work in the operation and supervision of the auditorium including planning and management of the production aspects; the technical operations; and preventive maintenance, safety, lighting operations, sound operations and other technical aspects in a theater / auditorium.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to :
Acts as the manager of auditorium and supervises stagehand labor at all events in the auditorium.
Sets stage, oversees technical aspects of all events, including design, sound, lights, props, etc. and facilitates clearing of stage.
Maintains auditorium equipment and inventory. Also maintains housekeeping shop / stage and backstage.
Drives TCC vehicles to transport productions Equipment as needed.
Works with outside events managers, crews and other college functions.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE : High school diploma or its equivalence and five years of technical theater or related experience. The Bachelor's degree is preference and may substitute for four years of the required experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING : Knowledge of TCC policies and procedures. Budget management. Theatre construction techniques. Theatre lighting techniques. Scenic art techniques. Sound reinforcement application. Computer research techniques. Skilled in planning and organization skills. Leadership skills. Construction drawing literacy. Use of computer based drawing programs - CAD / VECTOR WORKS. Scenic, lighting and sound design skills. Ability to be self-motivated. Be able to lift and carry 50 LBS. Be able to work at a height of 10 – 25 feet. Drive company vehicles. Work independently or with other in achieving goals.
