Summary of the role
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, where your ideas and contributions will be valued and respected.
Create system software extensions and participate in creating specifications for such.
Develop custom integration modules based on common industry standards (e.g. SECS / GEM, CFX, etc.)
Develop and perform automated software test routines, in general and for newly developed features.
Support self-developed extensions as well as such created by other team-members
Provide critical applications and system development support for new software and products.
Support Applications and Field Support by :
Understanding customers’ application and system level challenges and direct them toward solutions.
Provide recommendations to engineering staff in the event an existing system cannot address a customer need.
Participate / Contribute to all phases of new product development (requirements, development, test, deployment).
Travel to customer sites in support of new product deployment
Take ownership and proactively manage technical issues to completion such that they are resolved prior to escalation.
Possess and maintain a strong knowledge of company products.
Work closely with Service, Marketing and Sales on developing new software features with high commercial potential.
Help Service, Marketing and Sales to understand customer requirements and validate solutions.
Manage / lead customer projects, achieving targets on time and on budget.
Maintain companies position as the Automated X-Ray Inspection industry expert.
Mentor other members of the department as and when required.
Role and Responsibilities
Create high quality code, using C#, VisualStudio and Assure DevOps
Provide 3rd level support for Applications and Field-Service, in-house and at customer sites.
Provide help in creating product training for internal personnel.
Create automatic software test routines, embedded into the automatic build process.
Provide the highest quality applications support with minimum supervision in a customer-focused culture.
Understand and interpret the customer requirements and provide the best solution, working closely with Product / Project Management.
Prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Support global and regional applications efforts per company needs.
Attend product launches as necessary.
Support and promote company values and policies.
Support sales with technical documentation on key applications.
Carry out any ad-hoc technical support duties as required by the senior manager.
Skills and Qualifications
Degree in computer science or similar.
Very good C# programming skills.
Fluency in spoken and written English, preferably also German
Passion to work within an international, interdisciplinary team.
Knowledge of x-ray or other inspection technology.
3+ years of experience in full stack software development.
Team player with good organization skills and work ethic.
Creative with strong problem-solving skills.
Highly proactive with the ability to make decisions and ensure customer satisfaction.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Travel
Occasional domestic or international travel.
