Category Sourcing Manager - Germany

A new position as global Category Sourcing Manager at our facility in Germany

We are right now looking for our new Category Sourcing Manager for our new facility in Ostfriesland. Here you will play a key role in building up structure of our supplier base in Ostfriesland in close collaboration with our local purchasing team.

As Category Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for driving strategic sourcing activities within own spend areas, to ensure a competitive and sustainable supplier base is in place. Primarily for our locations in Europe. You will become part of a skilled and competent global team of colleagues with direct reporting to our Vice President Global Sourcing, Joen Østergaard.

Your key task main responsibilities

Your main role will be to support our sites in Europe in both Germany, Sweden, and Denmark in developing the supply base within your own categories ensuring strong partnerships. This includes selecting the right suppliers and negotiating terms and conditions, with focus on cost and risk mitigation. Working in a global function, you will also find yourself supporting colleagues at Baettr’s sites in China and India. Involvement in CAPEX projects as well as more local driven sourcing tasks shall also be expected. Your main activities will include :

• Ensure efficient supplier management for the following spend categories : Patterns and sand cores Flasks & welded parts Consumables Utilities & Professional Services
• Implement category strategies in alignment with factories and other key stakeholders.
• Negotiate and implement agreements to support Baettr strategy and KPI’s.
• Prepare and drive RFQs and CAPEX projects.
• Identify cost out projects.
• Lead Cross Functional Teams within own categories.
• Build up spend- and data analysis to support the sourcing activities across the value chain.
• Collect and maintain market intelligence as support to stakeholders incl. KAM team.
• Maintenace of masterdata in collaboration with local purchasing team

Professional and personal qualifications

It is important that you hold good interpersonal skills with a positive mindset, whereas collaboration both locally and globally is key to have success as a global Category Sourcing Manager within Baettr.

You should have the ability to communicate in a global environment – both face to face and on a distance.

You will be working out of our foundry in Südbrookmerland in Germany, however there will also be travel days to our different location around the world, but mainly in Sweden and Denmark.
