In this role, you will take ownership of model risk management processes, ensuring alignment with the latest regulations and industry best practices. As the leader of the Model Risk Management team, you will provide strategic direction, oversee model validation processes, and guide team members in developing and implementing robust risk frameworks. You will play a pivotal role in assessing, controlling, and reporting N26's model risks while ensuring effective collaboration across various teams and stakeholders.

- Lead and develop the Model Risk Management team, providing guidance, mentorship, and expertise in risk model validation and governance.
- Oversee the development and optimisation of the model risk framework, validation methodologies, and governance structures to embed strong model risk management practices throughout the model lifecycle.
- Independently perform and oversee model validations for risk (Pillar I & II) and AFC models, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for model risk-related matters, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulators.
- Provide strategic insights into model risk exposure, ensuring risks are effectively monitored and managed in line with business objectives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance model performance, governance, and efficiency.
