Our client, a global leader in agricultural solutions, is seeking a highly experienced Regulatory Affairs Team Leader to join their dynamic team in North Rhine-Westphalia. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated team of regulatory professionals, shape regulatory strategies, and ensure registrations to stringent EU regulations for active substances and plant protection products. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving the company’s growth and innovation in the agrochemical sector.

As the Regulatory Affairs Team Leader, you will enjoy a role that combines strategic leadership with hands-on regulatory management. The position offers a blend of leadership responsibilities and technical challenges, allowing you to leverage your extensive experience while guiding a talented team of regulatory professionals. Working in a hybrid model, you will have the flexibility to balance your time between the office and remote work, supported by the company’s commitment to work-life balance and employee well-being.

Joining the company means becoming part of a forward-thinking organization that values innovation, collaboration, and sustainability. The company fosters a supportive and inclusive culture where your contributions are recognized and your professional growth is actively encouraged. With a focus on continuous improvement and a commitment to regulatory excellence, you will be well-positioned to influence key decisions and drive success in a global market.

Lead and mentor a team of approximately 5 Global Regulatory Affairs Managers, ensuring effective performance and professional development.

Develop and implement comprehensive regulatory strategies for active substances and plant protection products in compliance with EU Regulation 1107 / 2009.

Oversee the preparation and submission of registration dossiers, ensuring accurate and timely submissions to regulatory authorities.

Manage and coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including local Country Registration Managers and scientific experts, to support global regulatory compliance.

Monitor and manage the budget for regulatory projects, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial targets.

Foster a transparent and collaborative working environment, facilitating regular communication of project updates and regulatory changes.

Support the ongoing development and refinement of the company’s global regulatory community and strategies.

Key Requirements

Approximately 15 years of experience in regulatory affairs, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role.

Proven expertise in the regulatory approval process for active substances and plant protection products, particularly under EU Regulation 1107 / 2009.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing and guiding regulatory professionals.

Extensive knowledge of global regulatory standards, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and ensure compliance.

Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex regulatory information clearly and effectively.

A degree in Life Sciences (e.g., Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Agriculture) or a related field is required.
