Within our Technical Grid Services division, we are currently hiring for the position of IT Security Consultant (m/f/d) at our Cologne location.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• In your role, you will coordinate and support system and process managers in ensuring information security within the systems for secure network operations (SN). In doing so, you will contribute to the detection and resolution of security incidents as well as to risk assessment and management in order to achieve the protection objectives (availability, integrity, confidentiality) through appropriate measures in the first line of defense
• In addition, you will support the department in the further development of technical security standards and in the identification of threats
• Another focus of your work will be drafting and maintaining guidelines for compliance with and improvement of information security within the department
• You will also participate in coordinating, finalizing, and reviewing contractual agreements on service quality with internal and external service providers
• Your responsibilities also include identifying and evaluating improvement measures for information security in the area of physical security for systems and components of secure network operations
• As part of your role, you will participate in the (further) development of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) for IT systems, components, and processes in secure network operations and support its implementation within your area of responsibility in coordination with the decentralized Information Security Management Officer (ISMB-SN)
• In addition, you will assist with the conduct of certification audits by accredited auditors as well as with internal audits
• Another important part of your work is supporting system and process owners with documentation, risk and criticality analysis, and quality assurance
• You will regularly coordinate with the decentralized ISMB-SN on relevant topics such as ISMS operations, risks, security incidents, and countermeasures

Job Requirements

Profile

• You have successfully completed a degree in Business Informatics or hold a comparable qualification
• Ideally, you have several years of professional experience in the described field of responsibility
• You are distinguished by your solid experience in the planning and implementation of information security measures
• Good knowledge of information security threats rounds out your profile
• In addition, you have experience in setting up and operating management systems, particularly in accordance with the DIN ISO 27001 ff standard family
• An additional qualification as an "IT Security Coordinator" is also desirable
• You have also gained experience in project management
• You also possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365
• You impress with strong analytical skills and a structured, methodical approach to work
• Working independently and taking initiative comes naturally to you
• You also impress with a high degree of decision-making ability and assertiveness
• Your profile is rounded out by excellent communication skills in German and a confident demeanor

This position is compensated at pay grade 11 in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement for utility companies (TV-V). For a full-time position, this corresponds to a gross annual salary of approximately 67,000-88,000 euros (depending on professional experience and qualifications).
