Summary

We are looking for a Test and Measurement Engineer (f / m / d) for the Sights development department at our Wetzlar site as soon as possible.

Within the Engineering Sights development department various disciplines such as software

disciplines such as software optics electronics and mechanics are combined to develop high-quality hand-held optronic vision systems. Our observation devices combine information from multiple sensors operating at visible and infrared wavelengths to provide the user with reliable information even under the most difficult conditions and ensure the success of their mission.

Your Tasks

Responsibility for carrying out and evaluating metrological tasks as part of development-related tests product verification and product series support

Close cooperation with internal stakeholders such as system engineering quality purchasing and external service providers

Preparation of the relevant documentation (test reports)

Participation in verification planning

Design and development of measuring and special operating equipment as part of products such as riflescopes binoculars periscopes CCD / CMOS cameras residual light amplifiers laser rangefinders IR optics for thermal imaging devices

Participation in project planning and needs assessment

Internal expert for questions from other departments on metrological topics

Your Profile

Completed studies with a focus on mechanical engineering mechatronics materials science physics or similar

Several years of professional experience in the field of measurement / testing technology preferably in an industrial environment

Experience in working with SAP is advantageous

Very good basic knowledge of measurement technology and the analysis of measurement data and measurement errors / measurement uncertainties

Good knowledge of optical measurement technology

Sound understanding of optics electronics and software

An extremely thorough and precise way of working

Very good analytical skills and high quality awareness

Initiative and sense of responsibility

Strong ability to work in a team and independently

Very good knowledge of German and English
