Your tasks

  • Regular on-site monitoring of production processes at suppliers. Ensuring the required quality and on-time delivery of components. The expeditor has the right to issue instructions to the supplier and acts as a representative of the project.
  • Creating and monitoring deadline tracking lists in order to avoid delays and optimize throughput times at the supplier. This is accompanied by a critical path analysis
  • Creating daily status reports to identify risks and potential for improvement to eliminate weaknesses. Creation of standardized status reports in which the most important topics are covered (e.g. quality, deadlines, problems).
  • Interface between project manager, procurement manager, quality manager and scheduler to define and track critical materials, equipment and documentation. Critical with reference to I : the design, technical and quality requirements II : delays and impact on the critical path III : other issues affecting delivery time, cost and quality.
  • Monitoring the current production situation and initiating short-term measures to operationally secure agreed delivery dates.
  • Applying common QM methods and test procedures to analyze quality-related problems. Developing concepts and solutions for accelerations using suitable methods, systems and test equipment. This in cooperation with the respective internal department.
  • Advising suppliers especially in the area of BOPe and BOPm (mechanical and electrical components in a power plant). To support the supplier in case of emerging problems and deficits and to take alternative measures.
  • Supporting the supplier in the preparation of acceptance tests and inspections.
  • Supplier development with reference to I : new manufacturing methods II : alternative production methods III : Preparation of quality documents IV : Preparation of protocols, certificates and other documents that we need for ourselves and our end customers, V : Carrying out CIP processes with suppliers VI : Check and debrief effectiveness, vii. Conduct quality discussion with the supplier.
  • The Expeditor is primarily deployed with European suppliers. They must be able to travel very frequently and have a very good command of English.
