The position is a unique opportunity for Postgraduate Researchers to implement their own ideas within the framework of the Research Training Group. The Research Training Group "NanoFab" is funded by the German Research Foundation and aims to synergistically combine sophisticated nanofabrication techniques with the fascinating capabilities of nanopositioning and nanometrology machines. Your tasks

Your job tasks include :

The successful candidate should explore novel approaches in the field of dimensional nanometrology. In particular, the focus is on developing methods for reliable, nanometer-accurate measuring and positioning over macroscopic travel ranges. The researched methods should be used to enhance the capabilities of the nanopositioning systems within the Research Training Group to further qualify them for advanced nanofabrication applications.
