Responsibilities

Development and optimization of multi-stage syntheses and purification processes for ceramides

Independent planning, implementation and evaluation of experimental programs for ceramide development

Creation and development of documents, including safe workflows, risk assessments and work instructions in accordance with EHSQ protocols.

Implementation of practice-oriented laboratory programs to demonstrate process feasibility

Design and implementation of scale-up processes and production transfers.

Communication and reporting of results in meetings

Proactive literature review and analysis of the IP landscape to identify new ceramides and their applications in cosmetics

Requirements

Completed doctoral studies in chemistry, chemical engineering or a related field with a focus on organic chemistry

Sound knowledge and practical experience in organic chemistry as well as in the synthesis of ceramides

Experience in purification technologies such as crystallization, chromatography, extraction, as well as analytical methods such as NMR, GPC, HPLC, and DSC

Confident handling of PC applications, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Experience in using database and analysis tools to evaluate experimental results

Excellent written and spoken German and English skills

Independent way of working, ability to work in a team as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills to present projects as well as reliability and resilience
