We have a clear social mission and, with our focus on healthcare, research, and teaching, we bear a unique responsibility.To meet our high standards every day, we are looking forward to your scientific expertise in the Institute for Experimental Pathology based at the Center for Inflammation Research at the University of Münster. The IZKF Münster has recently decided to newly establish a decentral core facility for Biology in Context, named BIC. Our facility is headed by Oliver Soehnlein, Kornelius Kerl, and Gerd Meyer zur Hörste. BIC is equipped with a MACSima imaging platform and a VS200 slide scanner for multiplexed immunohistochemistry and Visium HD and Xenium in situ platforms for spatial transcriptomics. We seek a dedicated and qualified biologist to manage and advance our new Core Facility for Spatial Biology. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development, operation, and management of this central resource, which aims to integrate advanced imaging techniques, single-cell analysis, and bioinformatics tools to investigate tissue organization and function across different scales - ideally with you on board! BIC is closely connected with ongoing (CRC TRR 332, CRU 342, CRC 1123) and planned research consortia with a focus on immunology thus ensuring lively scientific exchange with leaders in the field.
