Drawing insights from regenerative agriculture adaptive reuse and the slow movement Slowness is currently developing places around the world that offer a deeper conscious and collaborative form of hospitality.
Along with our destination strategy to own develop and operate places & projects in creative hubs we are currently in different stages of developing several projects mainly in Europe. To support our team in charge of the developments in Berlin we are looking for an Intern Project Management to support with the management of critical paths overall timelines and thirdparty requirements for our Flussbad Campus a home for adventurous culture & ideas. Beginning its phased opening in 2023 the campus encompasses exhibition spaces gastronomy creative studios and workspaces holistic health offerings and a semisubterranean performance space inspired by ancient templesall integrated into the wild riverfront environment.
Tasks
Slowness will offer you an unparalleled internship experience in a beautiful location by Spree River in BerlinRummelsburg. You will learn about different aspects of developing not only places but destinations and get insights into our Flussbad project. You will get the chance to support our team in building a competence center around holistic health facilitating the most advanced practices around nutrition movement and mindfulness. You will work closely with the Project Manager and get insights into the creative guidance of the project in collaboration with the respective architects and designers the operational set up and preopening activities.
Your tasks include :
- Assist with project coordination (main focus on our developments in Germany)
- Support with the creation of documents presentations translations guidelines etc.
- Keep project information up to date monitor timeline & deliverables
- Support in providing updates to stakeholders regarding strategy adjustments and progress
- Handle travel and lodging arrangements for project partners
- Conduct research on various topics within the hospitality industry
- Special projects & event organization
- Assist with office administrational tasks
- Assist with ongoing communication & tasks between operations and project management team
Requirements
You should have a genuine interest in trends within the hospitality world and be able to identify with the principles and ethos of the Slowness vision ideally looking to convert into a longterm employment. You should be energetic and detailoriented with a passion for culture design hospitality and travel. We value personal initiative engagement solutionoriented and creative thinking. You should contribute to a working environment that is respectful considerate teamoriented and support open dialogue. Your communication skills in German and English (written and spoken) are excellent.
