Mechanical Engineer – Data Centres - Frankfurt - Contract
We are currently partnering with a leading Mechanical Contractor in Europe that are looking for engineering professionals to join their team. Our client is working with some of the biggest names in the Data Centre industry and require a Mechanical Engineer for their project in Frankfurt.
Our client works across a variety of sectors in Europe including Life Sciences, Data Centers, Heating & Power Services, Chemical and Battery Factories. They offer their clients a first class partner for Engineering, Building Services and Mechanical Installations.
Responsibilities
- Assists in performing engineering tasks for the design of utilities and HVAC (wet / dry) systems for Data Centre facilities
- Assists in preparation of mechanical engineering calculations in support of HVAC systems design including heat load calculations, duct sizing, chilled water hydraulics, static pressure calculations, equipment sizing and selection
- Coordinates with disciplines in the preparation and development of the deliverables and ensuring those other disciplines’ inputs are incorporated
- Assists in providing specialised technical input to studies and design for staff’s specific area of expertise
- Assists in developing studies and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by discipline team
- Works closely in coordination with the project team and other disciplines as well as other design offices
- Assists in the development of conceptual design, preliminary design and final design documents which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting of these systems, the development of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s), general arrangements and sequences of operation associated with these systems
- Liaise with the design team and supply chain to ensure correct operation of the equipment on site and successful handover.
