SAP BTP ABAP Environment is the SAP Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offering for ABAP Cloud development that enables developers to leverage their traditional on-premises ABAP know-how to develop and run ABAP Cloud applications in the SAP Business Technology Platform, either as extension to SAP software or as standalone applications. SAP BTP ABAP Environment is built on- and leveraging the latest cloud technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
To expand our offering in various dimensions we are looking for passionate quality specialists, who work with the developers and help making it best in class with regards to scalability, reliability, robustness, and performance.
We are looking for applicants with the interest and ability to cover the software life cycle from quality assurance to deployment and the ability to implement automation of these processes.
Regardless of the detailed position you will be working in an agile scrum team with passionate and engaged co-developers.
What you bring
You should have a sound technical background with a university degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience. Having experience in methods and tools for quality assurance; At least one modern programming language is a must as is fluency in German and English. Additionally, you should bring experience in two or more of the following topics :
- Linux operating system internals.
- Cloud-native backend technologies (Docker / Kubernetes).
- Experience with git / GitHub and their ecosystem.
- Agile development methodologies and tools.
Finally, you should have a result-driven working habit, be a passionate team-player and be able to focus on quality and customer success.
Meet your team
The team is in Walldorf with tight working relations to teams in India and USA with very similar tasks. We provide support for all developers in ABAP Platform for the areas of quality methods, compliance analysis and documentation, and delivery or deployment of the software increments.
