Neptun-Smulders Engineering  is a cutting-edge joint venture between  Neptun Werft  and the Belgian company  Smulders . Together, we combine our extensive experience in development, construction, and project management to create innovative and high-performance converter platforms for offshore wind energy. These platforms play a central role in the efficient transmission of wind energy and contribute significantly to driving the energy transition.

Neptun Werft , known for its expertise in building over 70 river cruise ships, ferries, and gas tankers, brings its deep maritime industry knowledge into the joint venture.  Smulders , a leading specialist in the design, manufacture, and assembly of complex steel structures, complements our capabilities with innovative technical solutions. Together, we develop tailor-made offshore platforms that meet the highest standards of efficiency, sustainability, and robustness.

Through close cooperation and mutual trust within our joint venture, we are able to develop solutions that address not only today’s but also the future challenges of the offshore wind energy sector. Our solutions help optimize the integration of renewable energy into global power grids and contribute to shaping a sustainable energy future.

What you'll do

Define quality assurance strategies tailored to specific procurement packages

Develop, implement, and monitor quality processes across the supply chain

Perform quality inspections and acceptance checks

Audit supplier QA systems — both document-based and on-site

Facilitate FMEA workshops and other risk analysis sessions

Conduct internal training sessions and support knowledge transfer

Drive continuous improvement in our quality systems and engineering processes

Provide in-depth analysis and reporting on quality topics

What you bring

Degree in Engineering (Dipl.-Ing., B.Eng., M.Sc. or equivalent)

Several years of professional experience in quality management, ideally in construction or offshore projects

Strong knowledge of relevant DIN and industry standards

Fluent in English (written and spoken); German is a plus

A proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a hands-on attitude

Willingness to travel for supplier audits and inspections
