Job Description

Primary Function of Position :

The Technician manages the coordination, maintenance and overall management of the Commercial Enablement da Vinci system platforms, Instruments & Accessories (I&A) and Advanced Technologies. The System Technician is responsible for system set-up and take-down, system troubleshooting, and overall system logistics to ensure high quality delivery and support of all global programs.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• System workshop set-up for all Commercial Enablement programs
• Maintain and order inventory of Intuitive Systems and I&A
• Maintain organization and status log of all Commercial Learning system and I&A assets. i.e. location status, system repairs / tickets, inventory levels for Instruments & Accessories.
• Manage system shipments and loaners
• Strong administrative and record keeping skills (system and I&A usage metrics)
• Has advanced level knowledge of the system and I&A. Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
• Align / coordinate with Commercial Learning training team to execute training programs effectively.
• Participate in Commercial Learning program review meetings.
• Support on-demand training programs.

Technical Skills :

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience :

Bachelor’s degree or acceptable alternative education w / technical certificatication

Ideally 3+ years of professional work experience, preferably in technical support or lab operations

Fluent in German and English

Strong communication skills

Coordination and logistical experience preferred

Strong organizational skills

Knowledge of surgical / laboratory terminology, equipment, materials and procedures as well as the fundamental laboratory methods relating to surgery

An ability to travel up to 10%, dependent upon projects
