Your role

As Senior Expert Global Substance Registration (m / f / d) at Symrise you ensure business for Sent & Care in varoius countries and handle the chemical notifications in countries like Australia, The Phillipines, Japan, the US, Chile as well as answer customer queries for these countries.

This role is a fulltime position to be located within our global Headquater in Holzminden or remotely within Germany.

  • You perform global notifications and registrations of Symrise substances.
  • You oversee the development of integrated testing and registration strategies to contribute to the continuous growth of Symrise and to enable innovation.
  • You manage the coordination of tests required by the corresponding regulations.
  • You communicate with competent national authorities (EPA / US, AICIS / Australia, EMB / Philippines etc) and follow-up on ingredients notifications.
  • You give guidance to business, sales and global regulatory affairs regarding the registration status of substances.
  • You follow up on emerging worldwide chemical control legislation and development of implementation strategies.
  • You guide on legal identity of new compounds (i.e. CAS number / name)

About you

  • You successfully completed your university degree in chemical sciences or a similar area of study.
  • You have at least 3 years experience in the field of global chemical regulation (AICIS in Australia, CSCL in Japan, NSN in Canada, etc.).
  • You have extensive experience in a successful completion of chemical registrations as well as substance identification and characterisation.
  • You are experienced in coordinating interdisciplinary teams of experts, business, sales, laboratories etc.
  • You have a global mindset, including the ability to coordinate teams from various locations.
  • Ideally you are experience in the fragrance industry or polymer chemistry.
  • You are open-minded, ambitious, motivated, creative problem solving, team-player.
  • You are fluent in business English and ideally have a good command of another major language.
