Job Description
The Mould Designer is responsible for creating fully detailed 3D models (digital twins) of mould gear using a 3D CAD system. This role ensures the design of high-precision mould equipment for container glass manufacturing, aligning with customer specifications, manufacturing feasibility, and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop fully detailed 3D models (digital twins) of mould gear components (baffles, blanks, moulds, neck rings, guide plates, etc.)
- Generate 2D technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing and quality control
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet operational requirements
- Interpret customer specifications, glass container drawings, and technical requirements to develop accurate mould designs
- Maintain a digital database of mould designs, ensuring proper version control and documentation
- Assist in the development and standardization of mould design processes and best practices
- Work with suppliers to ensure design compatibility with machining, casting, and finishing processes
