The Max Planck Institute of Animal Behavior together with the Department of Biology from the University of Konstanz, near lake Constance in southern Germany, announce the next recruitment for doctoral positions at the International Max Planck Research School for Quantitative Behavior, Ecology and Evolution from lab to field (IMPRS-QBEE).

The IMPRS-QBEE is a structured graduate program for outstanding doctoral candidates from around the world whose research interests lie within the fields of animal behaviour, ecology, evolution, physiology and neurobiology and are seeking a starting platform with astimulating and competitive environment to give their careers a boost.

The IMPRS-QBEE announces a call for applications for admission in 2023. We seek to prepare young motivated researchers with the minimum entry requirement of a Master's or an equivalent degree level. In exceptional cases, graduates with a 4-year Bachelor’s degree (with written thesis) in a related subject are considered.

It is not necessary to hold the final degree at the time of application. Latest starting date is October 1st, 2023.

Candidates need to be fluent in written and spoken English and - unless native speakers - have to document their proficiency in English (e.g. TOEFL).

German is not required. Students from abroad will be offered opportunities to take German courses.
