The Department of Radiation Research on Biological Systems is looking for a PhD Student (f / m / d) to investigate the impact of ionizing radiation on mammalian cells.
Your tasks
- Cultivation of mammalian cells
- Biochemical as well as cell and molecular biological methods to study the interactions of alpha emitters with mammalian cells
- Characterization of the molecular species of the radionuclide in cellular compartments / cells using spectroscopic techniques (e.g., UV-Vis, Raman, X-ray absorption spectroscopy) and microscopic methods (e.g., electron microscopy)
- Writing scientific publications and presenting research results to scientific communities
- Mentoring student courses in Radiobiology or Radiochemistry
