About the Role:KUMMUNI Research is seeking a talented Machine Learning Engineer currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD degree to take a key role in developing and deploying AI models for our financial scoring systems. In this role, you will work on optimizing and deploying on-device machine learning algorithms that analyze financial data and generate accurate scores. As part of the KUMMUNI Research team, you’ll collaborate with developers, data scientists, and analysts, contributing to cutting-edge research projects and ensuring smooth integration of AI models into our platform.This is an exciting opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a real-world setting, while gaining practical experience in AI development within a fast-growing company.Key Responsibilities:Assist in designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models to support financial scoring systems and research initiatives.Collaborate with the data science team to translate research goals and business objectives into scalable AI solutions.Help ensure the effective integration of machine learning models into the backend architecture, particularly for on-device deployment.Analyze large datasets to identify features and trends that improve model accuracy and performance.Optimize model performance through hyperparameter tuning, validation, and evaluation.Monitor and maintain models, ensuring they meet both research standards and business objectives.Qualifications:Currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program in Machine Learning, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.Strong experience with Python.Knowledge of deploying machine learning models in production environments, with a focus on on-device solutions.Familiarity with data preprocessing, feature selection, and model evaluation techniques.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work with large datasets.Fluent in English; German proficiency is a plus.
