This offers manifold opportunities for collaborative research, along with internationally renowned research groups in related fields such as formal methods, algorithms, machine learning, visual computing, bioinformatics, computational linguistics, etc.Qualifications : The appointment will be made in accordance with the general provisions of German public sector employment law. Candidates must have experience in and an aptitude for academic teaching. They will have an excellent PhD or doctorate in an appropriate subject and will have demonstrated a particular capacity for independent academic research, typically by having obtained an advanced, post-doctoral research degree (Habilitation) or by having published an equivalent volume of peer-reviewed research or by having successfully completed the interim evaluation of a junior professorship or by having obtained an equivalent position. They must have demonstrated outstanding research abilities and the ability to successfully lead their own research group. The successful candidate will be expected to actively contribute to departmental research and teaching, including giving basic lectures in computer science. We therefore expect both didactic skills and experience in acquiring third-party funding. The teaching language is English or German (basic courses).
