At our location in Dortmund we invite applications for a
Scientist / Postdoc (m / f / d) : Proteomics
This position will be to fulfill the work outlined in the consortium project ‘B2B-RARE : Bench to bedside – Mechanisms of rare diseases and personalized treatment’, funded by EFRE-NRW. This work will heavily involve the development and implementation of LC-MS based proteomics for small sample inputs, with a focus on extending coverage and sensitivity for proteins within fibroblast samples. In corporation with consortium partners, data generated will be analyzed for a multi-omic approach to analysis, with the goal of implementation of findings into the clinic.
You will be responsible for :
- Developing methods for low sample inputs for proteomics in high resolution mass spectrometry, with applications in neuromuscular diseases
- Optimizing workflows for LC-MS to improve sample coverage and recovery from a single skin biopsy sample
- Analysis and evaluation of proteomic data with state-of-the-art MS analysis software
- Design of experiments and communication / integration with collaboration partners
- Preparation and submission of scientific outputs, including research publications and representation at conferences (national and international)

The salary will be according to the German TV-L. The full-time position is available immediately. It is fixed-termed and limited to 27 months within the project duration until August 31, 2027.
