You will help builda feature-rich cockpit that makes information available on a widerange of end devices, also outside the lab. In your individual roleand as an integral part of an agile team, you will take technicalresponsibility for our Cell Factory Software. You will providetechnical guidance on all matters related to “connectivity softwaredevelopment” and be the “gateway” between our software architectand our developers by translating concepts into code. By coachingyour team members on technical questions, you will help them findappropriate solutions for connecting and synchronizing internal andexternal software systems and find answers to development issues.As a role model, you will stay on top of new technologies andexplore them in a playful way. You will improve and continuallydevelop new functionality for our connectivity devices, writeclean, maintainable and scalable code in C++ and share yourknowledge with the team. You will also develop and maintain APIs,protocols and data formats to ensure compatibility betweendifferent software systems. Our departments are highlyinterdisciplinary. You will therefore also work together with otherunits, such as IT, Quality, Service or Marketing as well as ininternational teams, which will allow you to constantly broadenyour professional horizon. Qualifications You have successfullyfinished your academic education in Computer Science, NaturalScience (e.g. Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics) orsimilar. You have at least three years of professional experiencein a role similar to the one described above. You have an excellentunderstanding of service-oriented software development andexperience in developing software for connectivity, integration orsynchronization. Furthermore, you need to have exceptionally goodknowledge of modern C++ (preferably C++17 or newer) and beinterested in continuing to develop in this language. Ideally, youhave knowledge of the following technologies : Typescript, Go,message-based systems like NATS or MQTT, cloud technologies andcontainer orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. However, we arealso open to candidates who are eager to learn these technologies.You have excellent problem solving and communication skills, fluentEnglish (at least on level B2), German would be a plus.
