Join Our Pioneering Journey in Oncology : Lead the Future of Companion Diagnostics.
At Boehringer Ingelheim, we are at the forefront of integrating innovative therapies with precision diagnostics to redefine the landscape of cancer treatment. As we expand our horizons, an exceptional opportunity has arisen for a visionary Companion Diagnostics (CDx) Commercialization Lead to orchestrate our global CDx strategy within the dynamic sphere of Oncology.
In this pivotal role, you will be the architect of our commercialization endeavors, steering the successful worldwide introduction and market assimilation of groundbreaking oncology assets paired with CDx. Your strategic acumen will foster robust partnerships and propel the advancement of our pipeline, amplifying our impact across the global stage.
If you are a seasoned Director or Senior Marketer with a passion for transforming patient care and a track record of commercial excellence, we invite you to be the catalyst in our mission to deliver tailored therapies that will revolutionize the cancer care paradigm.
Embark on this transformative journey with us, where your leadership will not only shape the trajectory of our Oncology portfolio but also touch the lives of patients around the globe.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Leading the development and meticulous execution of cutting-edge go-to-market strategies for companion diagnostics (CDx) will be your responsibility, ensuring our oncology assets achieve successful launches and widespread market adoption.
- Assessing potential CDx partnerships in close collaboration with translation medicine, regulatory and alliance management representatives to ensure selected partners meet commercial requirements with regard to commercial footprint and launch experience.
- Ensuring alignment between the CDx commercialization strategy and Boehringer Ingelheim's broader corporate portfolio strategy and long-term goals will be a critical part of your role, fostering a unified approach to achieving market leadership.
- Collaborating closely with internal teams and diagnostic partners, you will prioritize and implement CDx commercialization frameworks to ensure the commercial success of our diagnostics during their global launches.
- Spearheading strategic partnerships with essential external stakeholders, such as the American Molecular Pathology (AMP), the College of American Pathology (CAP), and diagnostic stakeholders beyond the US, will be key to boosting CDx adoption in pivotal markets.
- Analyzing barriers to the adoption of diagnostics in key global markets, you will leverage customer and competitor insights to refine our CDx commercialization strategies, addressing challenges to test adoption and pinpointing drivers for market success.
- Navigating the complex landscape of market access for CDx, you will tackle lab economics, develop reimbursement strategies, and streamline coding and test requisition processes to enhance test adoption across diverse regions.
- Working in synergy with cross-functional teams-including R&D, Marketing, Market Access, Medicine, Alliance Management (for managing external diagnostics partners), and OPU teams-you will lead the charge in driving successful commercial activities for CDx assets across major regions such as the US, Japan, EU, China, and the rest of the world (ROW).
- Overseeing global commercial agreements with diagnostic partners will fall under your purview, as you manage cross-functional teams to ensure strategic alignment and the successful execution of commercialization plans. This effort will be in close collaboration with Alliance Management, reinforcing the importance of cohesive action and shared goals.
- Equipping corporate teams with essential CDx expertise, you will design and deliver comprehensive training programs tailored for the Value Team and Operational Units (OPUs). This initiative will empower our teams with the knowledge and skills necessary to drive the adoption and success of CDx in various markets.
