Job Title : Operations Director Automotive Logistics

Location : Germany West

About the Role

Are you a senior logistics professional with extensive experience in automotive supply chain management We are hiring an Operations Director to lead contract logistics operations for a major provider in Western Germany. This role focuses on overseeing highvolume automotive logistics processes including inplant logistics sequencing and CKD (Completely Knocked Down) operations. If you are passionate about driving operational excellence and building strategic client relationships this role offers an exciting opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

As the Operations Director you will lead a multisite team and drive the success of automotive logistics operations. Your responsibilities include :

  • Operational Leadership :

Manage and optimize operations across multiple contract logistics facilities in Germany West.

  • Ensure efficiency and quality in inplant logistics CKD and sequencing processes.
  • Establish and implement operational best practices to meet and exceed client KPIs.
  • Client and Stakeholder Engagement :

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with automotive clients.

  • Develop tailored solutions for clients logistics needs ensuring operational and contractual excellence.
  • Serve as the primary contact for senior client representatives and internal stakeholders.
  • Strategic Growth and Innovation :

    • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements automation and innovation.

  • Leverage technology to enhance logistics processes and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Contribute to business growth by exploring and implementing new opportunities in automotive logistics.
  • Financial and Performance Management :

    • Develop and manage budgets for operations across all sites.

  • Monitor performance metrics analyze data and present findings to senior leadership.
  • Deliver costeffective operations while maintaining highquality standards.

    • Qualifications and Experience

  • Extensive experience in automotive logistics and supply chain management particularly inplant logistics sequencing and CKD operations.
  • Proven success in a senior leadership role within contract logistics or a similar field.
  • Strong expertise in managing large teams and multisite operations.
  • Outstanding client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of the latest innovations and technologies in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Fluency in German and English is highly desirable.
