Strategic Buyer (m / f / d)

Become part of SECO Northern Europe. At our locations in Hamburg, Wuppertal, Stuttgart, and Chennai / India, we are a team of around 190 employees. Together, we develop and produce state-of-the-art technological solutions, from miniaturized computers to fully customized integrated systems that combine hardware and software.

Responsibilities

Coordinate all procurement activities for all components within the scope of development projects for new products until the start of series production.
Obtain quotes and conduct technical and commercial evaluations for all project components.
Conduct supplier selection for all project components and lead price negotiations.
Collaborate closely with project management and R&D regarding feasibility, effort, costs, and scheduling.
Manage product changes / re-designs (phase-in – phase-out).
Implement cost optimization measures during the product development process.

Requirements

A successfully completed degree in technical business administration, industrial engineering, or a comparable field of study, or equivalent qualifications.

Professional experience in internationally oriented procurement of electronic and electromechanical components.

Ideally, familiarity with the markets, suppliers, and manufacturers of electronic components.

You are an experienced negotiator with a professional approach to internal and external stakeholders, and your communication skills are convincing. Additionally, you possess strong intercultural competence.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).

Fluency in German and English, with additional language skills (e.g., Italian or Chinese) being a plus.
