As part of our activities in Lrrach Germany Syngenta is looking for a :

Europe Customs Expert Strategy (f / m / d) only Germany based! Full remote!

Role purpose :

The Europe Customs Expert Strategy  will act as a design and compliance authority for all relevant customs and foreign trade processes applied in the region and support their application together with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the supply chain. You will report to the Europe customs strategy manager.

Responsibilities / main tasks :

• Act as a design & project authority for customs and foreign trade excellence throughout the region
• Coordinate and actively manage customs compliance and procedures (e.g. AEO certification and approved exporter status)
• Review and optimize supply chains to mitigate or reduce duty in a volatile and flexible environment (e.g. toll manufacturing setup)
• Explore new opportunities to optimize customs duties with partnering countries in Africa Middle East and Eastern Europe
• Work together with legal and tax to review customs valuation matters
• Help to drive Improvement of preference handling within the organization
