EHS Manager Europe (f / m / d)

What awaits you :

As EHS Manager Europe you will be part of a team responsible for managing the EHS activities of all Novelis locations in Europe. You take actions necessary to assure the locations are working according the Novelis EHS-values and beliefs. You motivate, stimulate and coach the locations to achieve good EHS results and strive for continuous improvement in EHS. Your tasks in detail :

  • You support and drive implementations of EHS strategies in all matters related to occupational health and workplace safety (EHS) with particular emphasis on behavioral based safety and EHS culture transformation
  • You conduct analysis to determine the common incident causal factors as well as trends and develop and implement initiatives that target those accident causal factors, vulnerabilities, and trends
  • You conduct internal benchmarking to identify best practices and participate in the development and implementation of EHS Performance standards
  • You monitor regulatory requirements and manage the approval and tracking of EHS strategic initiatives
  • You provide accident investigation and hazard recognition training at all levels, and you coach leaders in discharging EHS responsibilities
  • You provide reports in EHS performance to the European management
  • You routinely visit all European plants to monitor policies, practices, and conditions
  • You prepare and participate in EHS audits

Profil

How you convince us :

  • You bring at least 15 years of working experience and a broad knowledge of specialized EHS technology
  • You have experience working in the manufacturing environment
  • You have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees – from management to production employee
  • You have strong analytical skills and bring a creative mindset which helps you in the continuous improvement
  • You have experience in coaching and training employees
  • You describe yourself as a people-oriented person
  • You bring along a high willingness to travel within Europe (approximately 80%)
  • Fluent English / German complete your profile
