Regional Tax NCE is mainly based inHamburg, Germany, with the current team working from four locations(Hamburg, Malmö, Warsaw, and Szczecin). The team is divided betweenindirect and direct tax and consists of approx. 10 FTEs.
Responsibilities
The Directorrole includes managing a team of approximately 10 specialistsacross different geographies and tax fields. The relevant candidatewill therefore be expected to have excellent leadership skills withexperience in managing teams of specialists. The Tax Director willanchor the full tax strategy in the region; it will therefore be afocus area to connect with the business and have a solidunderstanding of the commercial aspects and frontline operations.Through the gained understanding, the tax director is expected totranslate commercial complexity into actionable tasks with the taxsubject matter experts and vice versa take the complexity of thetax area and translate that to an understandable message todecision-makers in the business. In this undertaking, it is therole of the Regional Tax Director to assess and report tax risk andensure relevant measures are deployed to mitigate and manage suchrisks.
- As Tax Director in theRegion, you will be responsible for managing all tax-relatedmatters excluding personal taxes that are managed by the MobilityHR team.
- The Regional Tax Director will beexpected to be an active member of the Global Tax Management teamto ensure knowledge and best practice sharing across the businesswith a focus on standardizing processes and optimizing businesscases.
- We expect the candidate to apply abusiness partner mindset, being proactive and solution-orientedwhile maintaining a firm view on compliance to ensure operationsare in line with Vestas’ tax policy and ethicalstandards.
