The Faculty of Engineering andMathematics seeks to appoint a Professor (W2) Automation Technologyand Mechatronics YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AT HSBI You teach in thefield of automation technology and mechatronics in itsfundamentals, specialization subjects and adjoining modules in thebachelor's and master's degree programmes at Gütersloh Campus. Youdevelop and improve the international bachelor's degree program"Mechatronics and Automation" as well as support the furtherdevelopment of the other international degree programs at GüterslohCampus. You expand and maintain international collaborations withcompanies and universities. You develop and enhance the profile ofGütersloh Campus through research and development in therepresented teaching area. As part of your professorship, youcontribute to promoting and developing research cooperations in theregion . You develop your own research activities at the faculty.You actively procure third-party funds for your research. Youparticipate in academic committees . YOU SHOULD BRING THESEQUALIFICATIONS You have completed an academic degree and adoctorate in the field of automation technology, mechatronics,electrical engineering or in related fields of study withabove-average performance. You have at least five years ofprofessional experience - of which you worked at least three yearsoutside the university - in the application and / or development ofindustrial control and automation technology.

• You have knowledgeand experience in the development, application and commissioning ofmechatronic systems in industrial practice . You have experience inthe development of study programs and in the conceptual design ofeducation and training courses. Your English skills enable you toteach courses in English . lt necessary, you are also willing toteach in German. You have pedagogical and didactic skills (ideallyproven by teaching experience at universities) and the ability tosuccessfully convey the course contents to the students and enjoypassing on your knowledge. You have recognized research andpublication activity in the field you are teaching and ideallyexperience in acquiring third-party funding. You are familiar withdigital teaching and learning formats .
