Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a visionary Lead Cloud Platform Engineer (m / f / d) to join our team and shape the future of our Jedox Cloud Platform. In this role, you will build and lead a team of talented engineers, ensuring that our platform meets the current and future needs of our business. You will drive the development, implementation, and management of our platform's roadmap while collaborating across the entire organization to support strategic priorities.

  • Provide direction to cloud platform engineers, including mentoring, technical decisions, and code reviews
  • Build and drive the implementation of the team's roadmap
  • Collaborate with Jedox Development, Product Management etc, to support with the execution of the product-related priorities
  • Be advocate of adopting new technologies, and applying best practices in cloud, to meet security standards and compliance regulations
  • Implement automation to reduce operational overhead, and enable self-service capabilities for developers to simplify their work
  • Enable monitoring, logging and alerting systems, to track the health of cloud resources, and optimize configurations for cost and performance
  • Ensure that technical documentation for system architecture, APIs is comprehensive and always up-to-date
  • Foster innovation, creativity and teamwork amongst a cross-functional, multi-project and multi-discipline team
  • Be passionate about finding solutions for difficult problems

Your Profile

  • 8+ years of experience overall, with 6+ years in SaaS organizations, managing cloud-native solutions for both public and private cloud (Azure experience preferred)
  • Previous experience in organizing senior engineers as Lead Platform Engineer, Lead DevOps Engineer, Technical Lead or any similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of Kubernetes (AKS preferred) and helm
  • Have the know-how to implement solutions for scale-to-zero (hibernation, sleep mode etc) and GitOps
  • Be hands-on with trending technologies like ArgoCD, Github, Thanos, Controlplane, Loki, Grafana, Honeycomb, etc.
  • Active contributor to the Cloud Architecture topics, and implementer of any architectural enhancements
  • Good understanding of programming languages, including Python, Go, JS, etc.
  • Have the ability to plan technical tasks in sprints
  • Highly motivated to research and self-study, to keep technical, business and leadership skills relevant
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent command in English, German is nice to have
