Your future crew is a newly created team of around 5 people who aim to rewrite aviation for real. We work in a highly dynamic business and adapt quickly to the evolving environmental demands while finding solutions for challenges that have never been solved before. It is our motivation to strive for excellence to bring urban air mobility to life.

Your mission during this flight :

As Team Lead Direct Procurement you will be leading a growing team of direct buyers at two locations of Volocopter. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Procurement and work closely with various cross-functional teams to achieve our mission and help bring urban air mobility to life.

• You will lead, mentor and develop your team members to establish procurement excellence within your scope of control
• You will develop dedicated commodity strategies for all direct material end to end to be procured by your team
• You will be an integral part of finding technical solutions with the engineering team and will lead the search on the market for the best sources considering technical, industrial and commercial aspects
• You will run and evaluate RFI / RFQs and negotiate contracts with selected suppliers and ensure continuous contract management with the supplier portfolio
• You will source flying material within your commodity and lead negotiations with your team, whilst developing and maintaining relationships with existing suppliers
• You will implement processes, methods, and tools to deliver continuous cost improvements in accordance with the set targets
