We are looking for a Team Lead Group Accounting (all genders) to join us as soon as possible in a full-time, permanent position. We operate remote-first, but you can choose to work hybrid or fully on-site depending on your proximity to one of our locations. As a large part of our Finance team is based in the Cologne area, this location may be particularly convenient.


As a Group Accountant, you take on central responsibility for the preparation of the consolidated financial statements of the Contabo Group in accordance with IFRS. Together with the Finance team – including General Ledger, Accounting, and Controlling – you develop and analyze monthly internal group reporting as well as reporting for banks. Your role goes beyond working with numbers: you actively shape processes, optimize systems, and contribute to the continuous development of your area of responsibility.

You are also responsible for the functional and disciplinary leadership of currently two General Ledger Accountants. Together, you act as a key point of contact for external auditors as well as internal stakeholders such as the tax department.

As we continue to grow throughout 2026, the complexity of our business and the Finance function will further increase. To ensure that this growth and the associated changes are accurately reflected in our accounting and financial statements, we are looking for you.

While we already have a well-established team, new perspectives, different experiences, and fresh ideas are always welcome. We encourage you to take the time to review and challenge existing processes within your area of responsibility. What convinces us

Your personality, combined with:

• a degree in economics or a business administration background with relevant additional qualifications
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS and HGB
• Experience with Lucanet or other consolidation systems
• Your excellent analytical skills
• Excellent English skills for communicating with your international colleagues
• Three to five years of professional experience in auditing or corporate accounting
• Initial leadership experience (preferred) and the desire to further develop your own area of responsibility within the team
• Commitment and a sense of responsibility
