As an optical engineer, you will be responsible for the development of sensor components for TOMRA sorting machines. This includes spectroscopic sensors, pulsed laser assemblies and laser triangulation systems - your ideas can directly contribute to the performance of our future systems.
You will be part of an interdisciplinary team of 9 motivated and skilled developers who have diverse backgrounds and specialize in areas such as optics, analogue electronics, embedded systems, software development, mechanical engineering, 3D printing and image processing.

Your tasks
- Testing, evaluation, analysis and industrial production of (spectroscopic) imaging systems, high-power laser optics and their components.
- Evaluation of optical parts from second sources / end-of-life (EOL).
- Continuous improvement of optical sensor systems.
- Definition, planning and implementation of test tools and setups.
- Development of optical component specifications.
- Providing technical support to production, strategic purchasing and quality assurance departments.
