Your responsibilities

  • Leading of the pre-commissioning tasks together with site-manager, subcontractor, electricians, mechanical and instrument people
  • Preparation and management of procedures and protocols
  • Maintain the master P&ID and the alarm list up to date
  • Check equipment, instrument and piping installation as per P&ID
  • Blowing out pipe systems and vessels
  • Ensure cleanliness of piping and vessels
  • Execution of visual checks
  • Internal inspection of vessels
  • Inerting equipment
  • Stroke testing of valves
  • Execution of functional tests with E&I contractor, vendor and client
  • Equipment (compressors, pumps, conveyors) test runs
  • Educating and training of customer's site-personnel
  • Follow-up on punch lists
  • Participate in HSE (health, safety and environmental) system
  • Assistance in Start-up of the plant
  • Adjusting of control loops
  • Plant handover and Acceptance

Your profile

  • A degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent education (certified technician possible)
  • Several years of experience in plant engineering and / or pre-commissioning / commissioning
  • Knowledge of different disciplines at site (, instrumentation, rotating machinery, construction in general)
  • Operational or commissioning experience in Polyolefin Plants (PE / PP), preferable UNIPOLTM Technology
  • Experience with (pre-) commissioning and start-up of a process plant on site
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Willingness to travel and work abroad
  • Planning and development of procedures for (pre-) commissioning and start-up
  • Preparation and execution of Operator Training
  • Coordination with other disciplines, vendors, and the client
