What this job can offer you We are looking for a highly experienced Payroll Lead to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have experience in regional / global payroll operations, including a deep understanding of wage tax laws and social security regulations in at least one country. Proven track record in identifying payroll compliance risks and implementing controls. What you bring
- Experience in-house payroll experience Germany
- Deep understanding of wage tax laws and social security regulations in the Country of expertise
- Experience of liaising with the local tax authorities
- Demonstrated capability in handling complex, compliance-heavy tasks, leveraging analytical skills for effective problem-solving.
- Experience in making recommendations for process improvements and ensuring that they are implemented
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively and drive results in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that ensures the individual can engage effectively with Senior stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience working on payroll systems and services in a multi-product, high-growth scale-up company
- Proficiency in data manipulation (eg sql, excel, sheets)
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment with a passion for making an impact.
- You understand the need and ideal to work largely asynchronously.
- It's not required to have experience working remotely, but it is considered a plus.
- You write and speak fluent English.
- You write and speak fluent local language the Country of your expertise
