JOB OPENING Title :               Physical Therapy Assistant Location :      Ramstein, Germany Start Date :     Immediately Job-Type :        Part-Time to Full-Time Qualifications Associate’s degree from an accredited PTA program at a technical or community college, college, or university.  Able to read, understand, speak, and write English fluently.

Possess organization, problem-solving, and communication skills to articulate medical requirements to patients, families / caregivers, and medical and non-medical staff professionally and courteously.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to : Participate in planning, providing, and evaluating patient care interventions.

Utilize therapeutic principles to restore function and support activities of daily living.

Gather and document performance data.

Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment.

Assist therapist with evaluations, tests, measurements, and procedures.

Coordinate and delegate appropriate therapeutic exercise and physical therapy interventions.

Coordinate care with other members of the staff and network providers.

Facilitate, procure, fit, instruct, and establish the use of adaptive equipment, advanced orthoses and braces, and other therapeutic devices as needed.

Monitor the safety of equipment and place appropriate work orders for repair.

Additionally, monitor the cleanliness and upkeep of rehabilitation equipment within the rehabilitation space.

DOCPER / SOFA / Logistical Support Status This position is not eligible for support under NATO Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) supplemental agreement articles 72 or 73.
