Position Overview : Airswift is seeking a skilled and experienced Pipeline Construction Specialist to join our client’s team, a well-renowned partner in EPCM, for an oil and gas construction project in Gelsenkirchen. This role involves ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality guidelines while managing and coordinating all pipeline construction activities from tendering and awarding contracts to the final handover to the client.

Key Responsibilities : The Pipeline Construction Specialist will be responsible for the professional execution of complete construction projects on the site. This includes supporting the client's engineering departments during the preparation phase, participating in assembly and feasibility studies, and preparing cost estimates. You will plan the construction phase, contribute to assembly schedule preparation, and monitor project progress regularly.

You will independently manage and coordinate all on-site activities, including measurement, cost calculation, budget planning, cost control, reporting, and invoicing. Key tasks include planning, controlling, and monitoring personnel deployment, ensuring that safety, quality, deadlines, and cost targets are achieved, and preparing and submitting monthly reports on these metrics. You will also ensure contract-compliant processing, claim management, and change management.

Additional responsibilities include the acceptance of services and documentation, construction site preparation and management, and providing advice on constructability reviews. You will define the assembly concept, organize materials management, and act as a coordinator in accordance with the Construction Site Ordinance and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

You will conduct assembly meetings, review and verify execution documents, create documents for work permits, approvals, and acceptances, and define and maintain schedules for the assembly process. Finally, you will hand over the installation documentation to the client.

• Work permits

• Equipment safety (machines, assembly aids, and tools)
• Traffic safety (routing, fall protection, scaffolding, barriers, and special danger zones)
• Cleanliness and order
• Coordination of several companies
• Compliance with special protective measures for hazardous work
• Safe working methods and behavior of workers
• Immediate initiation of corrective measures
• Participation in toolbox meetings of external companies
• Advising the project construction management on safety coordination and planning of assembly processes
• Participation in accident and root cause investigations

Qualifications :

Work Environment : This position requires daily on-site presence at construction sites in Gelsenkirchen, ensuring effective management and coordination of all pipeline construction activities. You will work closely with the client’s engineering departments, subcontractors, and various project stakeholders.
