The Finance Director is responsible for building a cohesive and integrated finance team whilst ensuring a strong business focus and reporting and controls environment. The role also provides financial input to the Finance Business Partner who supports the VP Cryogenic Systems – Europe.

Our Chart Industries location in Goch, Germany is an internationally established specialist for the design and manufacture of cyrogenic and non-cryogenic mobile units for the distribution of gases, liquids, and bulk goods, including hazardous cargos. Its‘ key products include cryogenic transport trailers, hazardous transport solutions and cryogenic aftersales and services. It employs around 280 people and is one of seven Chart Industries Sites located in Germany.
What Will You Do…
As Finance Director Cryogenic Systems based in Goch you will be operating as a key member of the Chart Germany, GOFA, VCT and Flow leadership teams and participate actively to drive the business strategy.
This includes providing financial insight for the business challenges and take a lead role in strategic and budget planning as well as supporting business development opportunities.
Ensure that all internal and external reporting is delivered accurately and on time.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards – US GAAP and local GAAP.
Work closely with the Regional and Group Finance functions to ensure alignment and co-operation. Ensure that Group reporting requirements are complied with and in accordance with agreed timetables, format and the Group Accounting Manual.
Provide relevant management data and reporting to all key stakeholders.
Ensure relevant KPIs are defined, reported and analysed against targets.
Provide relevant insights to performance and identify key focus areas for improvement.
Drive the regular budgeting and forecasting processes in line with Group requirements.
Drive target setting to ensure challenging but achievable targets and ensure that they are aligned with the overall business strategy.
Key member of business leadership team, supporting and driving overall results and business performance.
Drive cash performance and working capital management within business.
Contribute to business strategies and ensure alignment to overall Group goals and strategies.
Build and lead local finance team, providing coaching, guidance, development and direction.
Ensure an open culture, delivering accountability and a continuous improvement mindset.
Become a key member of the Regional Finance community, contributing to the overall Region and ensuring that strategies and direction are aligned within the business.
Ensure all local statutory requirements and compliance requirements are met, including Tax and Treasury requirements.
Engage with Global functions to ensure compliance as required.
Design and implement adequate internal controls to ensure compliance with both local and Group requirements and comply with Group SOX controls requirements. Ensuring testing is supported to be able to document and prove compliance.

Travel
The base location is in Goch and regular travel to our Monheim and Gablingen locations in Germany is required. Apart from that a hybrid working arrangement is possible.
Some travel within Europe region may be required from time to time.
